Tenth Sunday After Pentecost
July 29, 2018
"We invite everyone to share communion around God's altar.
We strive to be a welcoming and relevant Christian community doing what matters through prayer, worship, teaching, outreach, fellowship, and service.
We will demonstrate the real life application of scripture, tradition, and
reason by providing a safe place to respond to each other's needs,
hurts, joys, and interests."

Anthem this Sunday:
God Was There
A Duet by Mallory & Brandon Nonnemaker
When the wind on chaos blew,
when the world from nothing grew,
when the primal dream came true,
God was there.
When the earliest mortals talked,
when the virgin land was walked,
when emergent faith was rocked,
God was there.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
When the tradesman was denied,
When the savior was decried,
while his Son was crucified,
God was there.
God was there but not in vain,
shielding joy and sharing pain,
raising life to live again,
God was there.
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
In each darkness, cloud, and fire,
in the quiet as words retire,
in our best and lost desires,
God is there.
Not for what we are or do,
not for what we've journeyed through,
but for all you call us to,
God be there
Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!

Resurrection Preschool Open House
Monday, July 30, 2018
5:30-8:00 p.m.
|
Our grounds need to be spruced up!
In the next couple of weeks, we are going to have lots of guests on our property and the grounds are in desperate need of some TLC. There are lots of weeds around the building and cobwebs behind the old Parish Hall where the Preschool Open House will take place.
Please consider donating some time to make our grounds as beautiful as they can be!
|
We need volunteers to pick up the hot dogs and buns,
grill the hot dogs, provide sides,
help serve lunch and clean up afterwards.
Please contact the Parish Office if you can help!

New Choir Season Begins Wednesday, August 1, at 5:30 p.m.

Help us make a joyful noise!
No audition required - just a love of singing!

Resurrection Softball
Resurrection won our first softball game of the season!!! thanks to good hitting, solid defense, and a great supporting crew. Wayne Hardy shows off his dirty forearms from a nice diving catch of a ball sharply hit down the third base line. We are now calling it a "streak!" Go you hairy butterflies!!!
