"Believe what you see, see what you believe and become what you are: the Body of Christ." ~St. Augustine
This Sunday is the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, what was previously known as the Feast of Corpus Christi. In the gospel account from Mark , we encounter Jesus with his disciples at the Last Supper, sharing a final Passover meal with them. This is the most significant meal he will share with them as He identifies the bread with his body and the wine as his blood, establishing for us the Sacrament of the Eucharist. In this Sacrament, Christ gives us an incredible gift of intimacy with Him. He longs to be with us and so he offers himself to us as food in order to nourish us and to fill our deepest hunger, a hunger that lies at the very root of our being – to be with God as He desires to be with us. In this Sacrament we take the very life of God into the center of our being. As you prepare for Mass this weekend, reflect on how you respond to Christ’s desire to be close to you?
This Sunday, June 3rd at the 5:30 PM Mass, our parish community will honor and pray for our high school graduates. We ask those graduates who plan to attend to email Katie LeBlanc in advance as we have a small gift for them.

The final session of our 3 part series on the Mystery of the Eucharist will be held this Tuesday, June 5th at 7pm in the parish center. The video and discussion will be focused on "Bread for the Journey". All are invited to attend.
