What is a Limited Submission?
A limited submission solicitation (RFA, RFP, etc.) places a cap on the number of submissions that Auburn may submit to a sponsor. Auburn handles limited submissions by sending out a notification via this newsletter and creating competitions in the Auburn University Competition Space (also known as InfoReady ).To apply to any limited submission posted below, click on the above link and search for your competition reflected on the page. Please refer to the Limited Submission Procedures page for a list of requirements.
Limited Submission Announcements
The RCDI was authorized to develop the capacity and ability of qualified private, nonprofit community based housing and community development organizations, low-income rural communities, and federally recognized NativeAmerican Tribes to undertake projects related to housing, community facilities, or community and economic development in rural areas. Strengthening the recipient's capacity in these areas will benefit the communities they serve. The RCDI structure requires the intermediary (grantee) to provide a program of financial and technical assistance to recipients. The recipients will, in turn, provide programs to their communities (beneficiaries). 

The Intermediary will be required to provide matching funds in an amount at least equal to the grant. The respective minimum and maximum grant amount per Intermediary is $50,000.00 and $250,000.00. The Recipient and Beneficiary, but not the Intermediary, must be located in a city or town that has a population of 50,000 or less inhabitants.

In this webinar, designed for research administrators as well as interested faculty members, we will address:

Student Research Symposium Judging Signup Links Still Open

We still need almost 90 judges for the Student Research Symposium. The goal of the symposium is to showcase graduate and undergraduate student research and creative scholarship across all disciplines to a broad audience. We invite you to attend the Symposium and, if possible, to participate as a judge for posters/oral presentations during the Symposium.

FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES
The Vilcek Foundation will award prizes to young foreign-born biomedical scientists who demonstrate outstanding early achievement. Eligible work may be in basic, applied, and/or translational biomedical science.

Eligibility
- Applicant must have been born outside the United States; 
- Applicant must be born on or after January 1, 1981; 
- Applicant must: be a naturalized citizen or permanent resident (green card holder) of the United States; be a holder of an H1B or O-1 visa and have been living and working in the United States for at least 5 years; or have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); 
- Applicant must have earned a doctoral degree (MD, PhD, or equivalent); 
- Applicant must hold a full-time position at an academic institution or other organization. Eligible positions include the following: assistant or associate professor, or equivalent independent position. The applicant must be directly responsible for the design and execution of the work submitted for consideration. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows working under the supervision of a mentor are not eligible; 
- Applicant must intend to pursue a professional career in the United States; 
- Applicant must not be a past winner of the Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise.


Full Proposal Due – June 10, 2019 at 5:00 PM (Eastern)

The Vilcek Foundation will award prizes to foreign-born writers who have demonstrated outstanding achievement early in their careers. Eligible genres include fiction, nonfiction, and poetry.

Eligibility
- Applicant must have been born outside the United States; 
- Applicant must be born on or after January 1, 1981; 
- Applicant must: be a naturalized citizen or permanent resident (green card holder) of the United States; be a holder of an H1B or O-1 visa and have been living and working in the United States for at least 5 years; or have been granted Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA); 
- Applicant must not be enrolled as a full-time student; 
- Applicant must have published at least one full-length book (not self-published); 
- Applicant must intend to pursue a professional career in the United States; 
- Applicant must not be a past winner of the Vilcek Prizes for Creative Promise.
