Emergency Management Plan
On Sunday, July 15 following worship, we will have a program to introduce and review the Church's new Emergency Management Plan. The plan has been developed to provide guidelines in case of emergencies at First Pres, and to provide an understanding of the purpose and use of the fire protection, life safety, and other emergency equipment throughout the building, and to review policies and procedures associated with evacuation and general emergency situations. While everyone is invited to attend and to be prepared, this will be particularly helpful for anyone in a church leadership role, since they are often called on during emergencies.

Guide Book & Directory Advertising Opportunity
We are in the process of updating our annual Guide Book & Directory for the church. This book will contain everything pertinent to our church: the various ministries, organizations, committees, activities, functions and events plus a complete directory of all members. This book is being provided and direct-mailed to each family at no cost to our church, and it is again being subsidized by local businesses that advertise. If you own or manage a business and would like to find out about advertising in our book, please call the Church Office.

Recent survey results by Guide Book Publishing show that 92.1% of families would rather patronize a Guide Book & Directory advertiser over a non-advertiser. It "will pay" to advertise in our new Guide Book & Directory.
Update Membership Information
Does our Church database have your family membership record correct? Have you moved or changed your phone number? Are your children still at home and part of your membership record? Please consider updating your record for our annual Guide Book & Directory.

If you have not already informed the Church Office about changes to your record, please let us know now so that the information in the Guide Book & Directory is correct. Please call (630) 668-5147.
Artwork Display
Our current display of artwork on the link wall is by longtime member Tad Mallery. He received his degree in Visual Communications from Ball State University. After working in the field for seven years he started his own business, Graphiti Type/Design, Inc. in 1986. These are a few examples dating from college days through this year.

Join us on Saturday mornings for a 9 week study - The Wiersbe Bible Study Series: 2 Peter, 2&3 John, Jude: Beware of the Religious Imposters Kindle Edition by
Warren W. Wiersbe.

The early church was facing a growing problem: Spiritual counterfeits. From false doctrine to mixed messages, Christians were struggling to separate fact from fiction. Sensing this threat to their young churches the apostles rallied to defend the Gospel in an extraordinary series of letters. This study of 2 Peter, 2 & 3 John, and Jude explores how we can discern truth and stand firm on God's word.
Breakfast starts at 7:00 a.m. next to the kitchen. Please contact [email protected] to be sure we have enough bacon for all.
