CHRISTY HALDANE: Port Perry
Using a kiln, Christy melts and fuses recycled window glass to create simple forms while highlighting the qualities of the glass. These qualities differ depending on the methods employed, making each sculpture unique. She incorporates other common building materials such as stone, concrete and steel, enhancing the fragility and strength of the glass components.

BILL REDDICK: Peterborough
As a renowned ceramic artist and potter, Bill finds inspiration in the classical ceramic traditions of the Song Dynasty. Through his contemporary expression of this ancient tradition, he has developed original techniques, a fluency of form and thus, the creation of beauty. All works are individually handmade by the artist in his studio in Peterborough, Ontario.   He is the creator or Canada's official state dinnerware, which resides at Rideau Hall in Ottawa. This set, "The Maple Leaf Service," can be seen in the top photo below,  with  President Barack Obama enjoying himself on his State Visit to Canada on February 9, 2009.
