Columbia World Affairs Council will host
Javlon Vakhabov, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the U.S., for a program geared towards companies interested in discussing trade and investment prospects in Uzbekistan on
Wednesday, June 20.
Located in Central Asia, Uzbekistan is home to almost 30 million people, has a rich natural resources base, and enjoys annual GDP growth of 8%. The event will provide information to U.S. companies in the Columbia area information on how to make the first steps towards doing business in Uzbekistan.

Apply for "Tomorrow's Peacebuilders" Award!

The
Tomorrow’s Peacebuilders award recognizes groups involved in nonviolent campaigns or movements for a just and inclusive peace.
One representative from each shortlisted group will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the award ceremony at
PeaceCon 2018 in Washington, DC and promotion of their group’s work online to a global peacebuilding audience.
