On the 2019 World Day against Trafficking in persons,  UNODC is focusing on highlighting the importance of Government action  in the interest of victims of trafficking. But the call to action is not only to Governments, we encourage everyone to take action to prevent this heinous crime. READ

Father, raise us up to action! Raise up your people to go in and rescue. Raise up your people to fight for education and prevention. Raise up your people to risk their lives so that others can be saved. PRAY
Sister Mary, as she is known, has lived in Peruvian lands for about three years.  Her strong commitment in the Mission has led her to adopt a proactive approach to combating human trafficking, including progressive efforts to inform about risk factors and how more people can be part of putting an end to 21st century slavery. In August US Catholic Sisters Against Human Trafficking will be encouraging everyone to meet with their elected officials while they are on recess and back home in their in-district offices. You can get a head start on preparing for those meetings by reading up on our focused piece of legislation: The Central American Women and Children Protection Act .
