Call for Proposals Opening November 7th!

Join us in 2020 as a speaker at the 18th annual Milestones National Autism Conference.

Call for Proposals will be open November 7- January 15. Professionals, family members and individuals on the autism spectrum are all encouraged to submit.

NEW THIS YEAR
Accepted Milestones speakers may now attend the conference for a deeply discounted $50 registration fee which includes CEUs, meals and parking for two full days. Speakers who do not wish to receive CEUs will receive a reduced rate of $25. Speakers with ASD will attend for free.

This series is designed to improve understanding of the medical, behavioral, social, sensory, and educational issues related to ASD. This month's seminar will cover feeding issues among children with autism.

An Autism Perspective on Bullying: Creating a Culture of Acceptance
People with autism can encounter higher rates of bullying nearly everywhere, at every age, ranging from at school to in the workplace. In fact, most research indicates that we’re over 60% more likely to be the victims of bullying and that the severity of bullying we encounter increases as we age. This month, Early Intervention/School-Age Coordinator Nathan Morgan, MSSA, LSW, reviews types of prevalent bullying and writes about how we can create supportive environments for individuals with ASD.
