30th Annual Conference Call for Proposals
Deadline April 5th
We invite you to submit proposals to present at our 30th Annual Conference November 14th-16th in Phoenix, Arizona. We are looking for 90-minute workshops and a select number of 3-hour intensive workshops from professionals, parents, family members, and youth that support the well-being of our children and promote family voice in children’s mental health. Presentation proposals are due by April 5th!
Funding Opportunities
Rural Communities Opioid Response Program 
On March 6th The Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Federal Office of Rural Health Policy posted a Notice of Funding Opportunity for a new Rural Communities Opioid Response Program (RCORP) initiative called RCORP-Implementation (HRSA-19-082). HRSA plans to award approximately 75 grants, of up to $1 million each, to enhance substance and opioid use disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery service delivery in rural communities.

Applications must be received by Monday, May 6, 2019.
Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) Model 
On February 8th, the CMS Innovation Center (CMMI) Innovation Center released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Integrated Care for Kids (InCK) Model. This child-centered local service delivery and state payment model aims to reduce expenditures and improve the quality of care for children covered by Medicaid and CHIP who have, or are at-risk for developing, significant health needs. 
 
CMS anticipates awarding up to eight cooperative agreements, of up to $16 million each for a seven-year period, to implement the model. Applications must be received by 3:00 p.m. EST on June 10, 2019. 
OJJDP Grant Opportunities
Second Chance Act Addressing the Needs of Incarcerated Parents and Their Minor Children
This program will promote and expand services in detention and correctional facilities to incarcerated individuals and their minor children younger than age 18, and provide services to children of incarcerated parents by facilitating access to services that support their needs. This program will provide states and localities with funding to implement positive family engagement strategies and activities that address the needs of incarcerated parents and their minor children.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. eastern time (ET) on April 15, 2019.
Mentoring Opportunities for Youth Initiative
This solicitation supports applicant organizations as they strengthen and/or expand their existing mentoring activities with active chapters or subawardees
and/or other mentoring organizations.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m. eastern time (ET) on April 22, 2019.

SAMHSA Grant Opportunities
SAMHSA, CMHS is accepting applications for System of Care Expansion and Sustainability Grants. The purpose of this program is to improve the mental health outcomes for children and youth, birth through age 21, with serious emotional disturbance (SED), and their families.

This grant will support the provision of mental health and related recovery support services to children and youth with SED and those with early signs and symptoms of serious mental illness (SMI), including first episode psychosis (FEP). The intent is to build upon progress made in developing comprehensive SOC by focusing on sustainable financing, cross-agency collaboration, the creation of policy and infrastructure, and the development and implementation of evidence-based and evidence-informed services and supports.

Anticipated Award Amount:  From $1,000,000 to $3,000,000 per year
Length of Project:  Up to four years

Project Launch
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), is accepting applications for Project LAUNCH. The purpose of this program is to promote the wellness of young children, from birth to 8 years of age, by addressing the social, emotional, cognitive, physical and behavioral aspects of their development.

Anticipated Number of Awards:  15 (At least 3 will be made to tribes/tribal organizations pending sufficient application volume from these groups.)
Anticipated Award Amount:  Up to $800,000
Length of Project:  Up to 5 years

SAMHSA is accepting applications for National Center of Excellence for Integrated Health Solutions (CIHS) grants. The purpose of this program is to advance the implementation of high quality, evidence-based treatment for individuals with co-occurring physical and mental health conditions, including substance use disorders.

Anticipated Award Amount: 1 grant up to $2,000,000 per year
Length of Project: Up to 5 years
Application Due Date: Friday, March 29, 2019  
SAMHSA is accepting applications for 2019 Building Communities of Recovery (BCOR) grants. The purpose of this program is to mobilize resources within and outside of the recovery community to increase the prevalence and quality of long-term recovery support from substance abuse and addiction. These grants are intended to support the development, enhancement, expansion, and delivery of recovery support services as well as promotion of and education about recovery.

Anticipated Award Amount: Up to $200,000 per year
Length of Project: for up to 3 years.

Beck Institute is holding its 10th Annual Scholarship Competition for graduate students and early career professionals in the health or mental health fields. Ten applicants will receive a full-tuition scholarship to the 2019 Student and Early Career Professional Workshop in Philadelphia and will meet in a private question and answer session with Dr. Aaron Beck.
