NEIGHBORHOOD SUCCESS

RESIDENT COUNCIL

Resident Council members are residents of Warren and Youngstown who are engaged in and have knowledge of grassroots initiatives in their neighborhoods. Members serve a two-year term with seasonal demands aligned with the Neighborhood SUCCESS grant cycle and are responsible for thoughtfully reviewing grant applications, interviewing grantseekers and making funding recommendations. A maximum of three Resident Council members will be selected from each city.

EMERGING LEADERS

The program leverages the unique assets of emerging leaders from Warren and Youngstown to create pathways to decision making tables in the Mahoning Valley. The program uses a small group model to explore and cultivate 21st century leadership skills and foster radical imagination among participants.

Emerging Leaders participate in an intensive 9-week program that includes a retreat, weekly workshops/immersion sessions and peer-to-peer learning facilitated by a diverse group of expert practitioners. Cohort size in limited to 20 participants.
