Connections 2013: Insight and Inspiration On April 29-30 over 300 delegates from the nonprofit, business and government sectors convened at Mount Royal University to share big ideas with colleagues and community partners at CCVO's Connections 2013. There was a significant buzz after each presentation and through networking opportunities and dialogue sessions we were able to, in the words of guest speaker Bob Wyatt, speak truth to power, and come away inspired to continue to make a difference in our community. If you were unable to attend, or just want to reflect on what we learned, search #ConnectionsYYC on twitter (we were trending Canada-wide during the conference!), and check back on our BRAND NEW website for photos, videos, and presentations as they come in. Thank you to all who attended, supported or spoke at the Conference. It was an inspiring time and we thoroughly enjoyed sharing it with you.
Let's continue the conversation at calgarycvo.org, @nonprofitvoice or on our LinkedIn page. Alberta Nonprofit Survey: Deadline May 6 One things that was reinforced during the conference was the value of data in telling the narrative of the nonprofit sector.
CCVO's annual nonprofit survey is used by a myriad of nonprofits, government organizations and community investment teams to better understand the state of the sector.
This year's report will contain in-depth information on how organizations are adjusting to the elimination of the STEP and Community Spirit Programs, as well as regional and subsector analysis in key areas such as revenues, HR, and operational challenges. We need your voice! You can help support current research on the state of Alberta's nonprofits and charities by: - Filling out the survey (one per organization).
- Forwarding this notice to your colleagues across the Alberta nonprofit sector.
The survey closes on May 6. For more information, please contact CCVO at 403-261-6655 or policy@calgarycvo.org.
