Dear Friends,

Arts Orange County is delighted to inform you of our plans for an expanded 7th Annual  D ía del Niño festival, and to invite your participation!

The theme for this year's event is  "A Celebration of the Americas/
Celebración de las Américas," and the festival will take place at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa on Sunday, April 15, from 10 am to 5 pm.

Thanks to a partnership with OC Fair & Event Center, this year's Día del Niño festival will coincide with the final day of the  Imaginology celebration, an event in which science, technology and mathematics come alive in exciting and fun ways.  By presenting Día del Niño during Imaginology, we will provide greater countywide visibility to participating artists and organizations--more than 10,000 attendees are expected!

We are also pleased to welcome a new presenting partner, Media Arts Santa Ana (MASA).

We are now issuing an open CALL FOR PROPOSALS from artists and arts organizations who wish to offer hands-on workshops and/or on-stage live performances at the event. As a valued member of the Día del Niño festival family, we would like to invite you to submit a proposal to be part of this year's event.

We are also including a number of slots for organizations to host resource booths at the event to promote your youth arts programs and classes to a countywide audience. You are invited to submit a proposal for this now as well.

Bilingual guidelines and submission forms may be found at our festival website  ocdiadelnino.org

P lease visit the page to fill out an application and help spread the word to any artists or groups you think would want to participate in the event!

We also invite you to like our  Facebook page at ocdiadelnino , and to follow us on  Twitter at @ocdiadelnino .

This year's Día del Niño festival is made possible in part through funding from the  National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council and  Wells Fargo .

We very much look forward to your participation this year, and if you have any questions, we encourage you to contact our coordinators  Victor Payan at [email protected] or 619-701-0073 and  Elizabeth Miller at [email protected] .
