Vending Analytics by Hivery

This means that despite the massive opportunities presented by big data, we are not taking advantage of them.

As a vending machine operator, you probably have more data than you realize: demographics in the area surrounding your vending machine, the purchase history of each machine, and the price history. One of the biggest problems facing most vending machine operators is not lack of data, but rather inability to leverage it to improve the top and bottom line.

Enter Vending Analytics: the world's first artificial intelligence (AI) application for vending. Vending Analytics learns over time by using a company's own sales data to recommend product assortment, space-to-sales, and price at an individual vending machine level. The result is a set of actionable strategies that allow a vending machine operator to get the best return on each individual machine. Learn more how HIVERY applies Artificial Intelligence and Optimization in vending machines.

VendingMetrics
VendingMetrics
VendingMetrics, a Szczecin, Poland based vending technology provider, has introduced a remote management solution for vending machines. The VendingMetrics software can integrate any device, including cashless payment terminals, that can send HTTP requests to the system's cloud-based server.

VendingMetrics was developed by VendingStyle, a vending operator in Szczecin, Poland.

The system can poll data using an MDB/DEX port and send it via a GSM network to the telemetry platform. All transactions, cash or credit, can be updated continuously.

The system can integrate with online services and provides a dashboard that allows the user to track products and access information about turnover and income.

The solution offers a "manager" account that automatically generates tax statements, lists missing products, and reports on all machine activity. The "supplier" account only provides information on shortages in the machine.

The "virtual magazine" feature allows users to manage the warehouse, providing access to product lists, current sales and forecasted sales.

Custom interface integrations are available, such as invoicing software or a vehicle tracking system.  The system lists all transactions and can export the data to Excel and PDF.

The Coca-Cola Freestyle includes more contemporary features.
The Coca-Cola Co. displayed the newest iteration of its Freestyle self-serve machine, the Coca-Cola Freestyle 9100, at the National Restaurant Show in Chicago. The unit, which will be available nationally in 2019, features a 24-inch, high-definition touchscreen and Bluetooth connectivity, which lets fans connect to the Freestyle mobile app when they enter an outlet with a machine and cue up their favorite beverage or create a new mix.

"We've built features into this dispenser that are not only contemporary for today," said Chris Hellmann, vice president and general manager of Coca-Cola Freestyle. "We've also future-proofed the platform with not-yet-activated features like audio capability, optical sensors and a new equipment option that will eventually support the addition of drink categories not available on Freestyle today, such as teas, cold coffees and new varieties of juices."
