Once again we ponder God’s promised gift to us, the God of mystery and grace. Together let’s learn to live this mystery of love in new ways in 2021. Coming from the unique global experiences of 2020, we ask what will the new year bring? Throughout, it will be important for us to remain connected to those we love and from whom we have been separated by the pandemic protocols. This quarterly issue of Charity in Motion shares ways our SC ministries and ministers continue to make a difference, helping others find what they need for life. As you view what is included here might we find an integrating spirit through it all? Ways to meet new, emerging needs? Let’s connect in new ways with those humans who are essential and give our lives meaning; find someone needing a helping hand in your neighborhood or broader community and reach out. Let’s be rays of hope for one another in 2021. With St. Elizabeth Seton may we hazard yet forward, relying on God’s grace.
Charity News & Notes
Welcome New Associates
Congratulations to Tom Laverty and Kathy McDonald who made their commitments as Associates in Mission on Nov. 7, 2020. Due to the pandemic the commitment ceremony was held via Zoom for all Community members to participate in.

Rock Garden Rosary
Sisters living in Mother Margaret Hall nursing facility, with the help of Activities Team members, completed a “Rock Garden Rosary” in November. Each stone was thoughtfully painted and together assembled into this garden installation. The garden is located near the entrance of the MMH back patio.

In the Spotlight: Seton Hall
Love, Laughter and Learnings: A Tribute to Seton Hall
As Sisters and employees prepare to move from Seton Hall on the Mount St. Joseph campus, it seems appropriate that the building receive a special send-off. Over its 93-year history, Seton Hall has been ‘home’ to many: Sisters, employees, former Sisters, alums of the College of Mount St. Joseph, retreatants, teachers from the Mount Campus School and Mount St. Joseph guests. As the Community prepares for the building’s demolition in early 2021, we offer many personal memories and experiences from those living, working or visiting Seton, as well as the love, laughter and learnings provided. May reading and viewing the memories offered touch your heart, evoke a prayer or spark a feeling of gratitude. The series will continue until the building comes down next year. www.srcharitycinti.org/news-and-events/feature-stories/#setonhall
