A questionable future

By Hilbert Haar ~ The story that I am hearing now is that suspended MP Theo Heyliger is done with politics. It tallies with a statement he made to me earlier last year when he wrote me a message saying that the 2018 election had been his last one.

Dear Reader

Speculation is rampant about what exactly Theo Heyliger is up.

Will he eventually join another party or will he return with the UP party?

It is always said on St. Maarten that when it comes to politics, Theo is the smartest politician ever.

Based on the sentiments in the community, if Theo was to be released, there would be snap elections to be called and the UP party will be the biggest party on St. Maarten once again.

Or will he stick to his words last year and consider the 2018 elections his last elections ever?

Until then, have a great week.
