WSSC Appoints Director of Supplier Diversity & Inclusion
CMC Board Member Courtney Edmonds
WSSC is excited to announce the promotion of Courtney Edmonds to Director of the Office of Supplier Diversity & Inclusion. Courtney has been serving as Acting Director of the office for over a year. Her insight and strategic thinking have been critical in expanding programs and policies to educate stakeholders, augment our supplier pool and ensure contract compliance at WSSC for minority-owned, women-owned, small and local businesses.

Beginning her career at WSSC in 2016, Courtney joined as the Supplier Diversity Program Manager, where she oversaw compliance and advocacy, and focused on increasing utilization of small, local, and minority businesses for WSSC contracting opportunities. Already a leading subject matter expert in supplier diversity, she managed contract compliance and a state-wide disparity study for the State of Indiana’s Department of Administration. She is a board member for the Central Maryland Chamber of Commerce and member of the Institute for Supply Management and American Contract Compliance Association. Courtney received her bachelor’s degree in public relations from Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Please join us in congratulating Courtney Edmonds as she assumes her new role beginning Monday, March 25, 2019.

Inclement Weather Policy

Because the Central Maryland Chamber serves members in several counties, the following inclement weather policy has been established:

If any one of the three county school systems (Anne Arundel, Howard, Prince George’s) closes due to inclement weather, all chamber activities for the day will be cancelled.

If any one of the three county school systems has a 2 hour delay, all chamber activities prior to noon will be cancelled.

If any one of the three county school systems closes early due to weather, all chamber evening activities will be cancelled.
