Stickers must be purchased for $2 each and placed on each biodegradable yard waste bag, 33-gallon can, or bundled brush. Or you can purchase an annual subscription for $100 instead and put out up to six cans, bags, or bundles a week (seven bags or more require a sticker). Contact Groot at (877) 404-7668 to sign up. Any brush or branches outside of a container must be cut down to 4 feet in length and bundled no greater than 2 feet in diameter. Purchase stickers at the Jewel Customer Service desk or the Village Municipal Center. View more info here.

There is a disease of the Colorado Blue Spruce and other conifers in Spring Grove called Rhizosphaera Needle Cast that is decimating a large number of trees. View information on ways to treat it here . Removing and destroying diseased branches or trees can keep it from spreading to healthy trees. Spider mites can also be a problem for conifers. View more information here . Lastly, you can use pelletized gypsum soil conditioner to reverse salt damage on lawns and encourage new growth. It is also useful in helping the soil retain water and is best applied before our heavy spring rains. Purchase at any home improvement store.
