Landscape waste collection begins next week. Grass clippings, leaves, garden debris, weeds and fruit are acceptable landscape items. Stickers must be purchased for $2 each and placed on each biodegradable yard waste bag, 33-gallon can, or bundled brush. Or you can purchase an annual subscription for $100 instead and put out up to six cans, bags, or bundles a week (seven bags or more require a sticker). Contact Groot at (877) 404-7668 to sign up. Any brush or branches outside of a container must be cut down to 4 feet in length and bundled no greater than 2 feet in diameter. The Helping Hands Food Pantry thanks an anonymous donor who purchased and donated 10 Mixed Meal and Protein boxes. Each box was filled with over 20 cans of Progresso soup! The donation was doubled in value by a corporate match from Spring Grove business CoPharm Global. If you would like to sponsor Mixed Meal and Protein boxes at $5.43 each, please let them know.
