Looking Toward this Sunday May 6, 2018

Scott Kenefake will preach at the 8:30 and 9:45 worship service in Lingle Chapel and 11:00 in the sanctuary.

What does it mean to love God and neighbor in the 21
st century global village we all live in? As our starting point, we'll take a look at John 15:9-17-part of a section of John's Gospel called the "Farewell Discourses" in which John has Jesus impart some important spiritual instruction to his disciples as he prepares to leave them.  And part of that instruction is the exhortation to follow his commandments loving God and others.  We'll sketch a "roadmap" of what this might look like for 21 st century disciples like us today.

The Chancel Choir will sing With Peace and Joy I go and the Youth Choir will sing Sizohamba Naye at the 11:00 service.
