UA Little Rock’s Anderson Institute on Race and Ethnicity along with the Jewish Federation of Arkansas , event co-sponsor, and with the assistance of the National Holocaust Memorial Museum is providing a rare opportunity for students and members of the community to hear and speak with a survivor of the Holocaust.

Louise Lawrence-Israëls will share her memories as a toddler and the experiences of her family following the takeover of The Netherlands and the imposition of anti-Semitic laws by Nazi Germany. A question and answer session will follow.

The event will take place on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, 4:00-5:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Charles W. Donaldson Student Services Center, which adjoins the Donaghey Student Center on UA Little Rock campus . Parking is available in the University Parking Deck, a short walk east of the Donaghey Student Center.

The event is free and open to the public.

YouthAbility Comes to Arkansas

The Horvitz YouthAbility program out of the Jewish Family Services of Cleveland, OH, serves disabled and at-risk youth by engaging them in volunteer service, vocational activities, and social enrichment.  YouthAbility participants help themselves by helping others.
