"Art Journal Challenge #2"

**PLEASE NOTE:  Registration will be closing at 10pm on Monday, May 21st.

You ever have one of those days where you really want to create, but you can't make up your mind what to do or where to start?  You are not alone!  The purpose of these Art Journal Challenges is to give yourself a starting point and to just create!  Along the process, we'll be using many different techniques and products!  This will not be a class where I show you step-by-step how to create your page.  I will however, show you how to do each of the techniques in this challenge - and then you can use those techniques while you create your page.  I am definitely available for questions/guidance.  It might sound intimidating, but it's really not! You will likely get hooked after the first class!

This class is perfect for ages 10 and up!

**PLEASE NOTE** This class is on Wednesday evenings for 2 consecutive weeks:

  • May 30, 6-7:30pm
  • Jun 6, 6-7:30pm

Cost is only $37/person, and includes art supplies (paint, stencils, mediums, stamps, aprons, brushes), technique demonstrations, and guidance!

**Please see what you need to bring listed under "What You Need to Bring" below.

Tickets are limited to 10, so register now!  Any questions?  Call Robyn at Painting with Friends (509)990-8011.

Cancellation Policy:  7 days notice prior to first class is required for refund (less $5) or transfer to another class.

Invite your friends to register - share on FB!

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

1.  The overall theme is TRIAD COLORS!  Triad colors are any 3 colors separated by 3 colors on the color wheel.    Find a color wheel (or Google a basic color wheel - simple is better) and figure out what 3 colors you would like to use for your page.

 2.  An Art Journal.  One of my favorites is the Canson Mixed Media, available at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart, Spokane Art Supply, etc.  Any size will work.

 3.  Bring text from a magazine.  This will be used for a quote or just a word.  Try to bring a variety - you might even like the different colors/sizes - it'll make your word/quote look like a ransom note :)

4.  Bring Grace!  If you don't draw well (I fit into this category), don't get hung up on the "draw something" part.  It is perfectly ok to draw a line, basic shape, stick person - whatever! :)
