More than 8,000 attendees sped to Silicon Valley for Display Week 2019 to see, touch, test and learn about the latest advancements and what's on the horizon in the global electronic display industry. Crowds from over 40 countries joined the weeklong showcase, which included more than 250 exhibitors, the world-renowned International Technical Symposium, dynamic keynote speakers, exclusive conferences, exceptional learning opportunities and special events. |
"Now in its 56th year, Display Week continues to be a beacon for the international electronic display industry," said Sri Peruvemba, Society for Information Display board member and chair of marketing. "Whether you're an inventor, an engineer, a manufacturer, a scientist, researcher or technologist, Display Week offers unparalleled opportunities to see and be seen at the most important worldwide event of its kind." Watch the ribbon-cutting. Breakthroughs in microLED, quantum dots, LCD, OLED e-paper and other novel display technologies were but a few of the treasures that covered the exhibition floor at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center; and nearly every major industry sector, including aerospace, consumer electronics, commercial, education, entertainment, financial, government, industrial, marine, medical, military, retail and transportation was represented. |

Display Week 2019 also hosted the 8th annual I-Zone, an exhibition-within-the-exhibition where start-ups, universities, small companies and researchers from around the world had the rare opportunity to share their technological advances, pre-market prototypes and demos alongside global giants. Additionally, the four-day technical symposium drew hundreds of papers from the global community that were shared live by highly respected scientists, researchers and business leaders, and through poster presentations. Multiple technical sessions focused on some of the hottest topics in the display arena: AR/VR/MR and foldables, bendables, rollables. Attendees had the chance to hob-nob with world leaders and gain valuable insights from industry icons and visionaries at the keynote sessions, the business track conferences, and our CEO Forum and Women in Tech panelist discussions. And our second annual Job Fair gave job seekers at all career levels the opportunity for one-on-one interviews with hiring global companies. |
Finally, we held our first People's Choice Awards competition - where attendees let their voices be heard by voting for the best displays on the exhibition floor. What an exciting week it was! Keep reading below to unpack more about these and other highlights from Display Week 2019. And then mark your calendars for Display Week 2020, June 7-12, when we'll light up San Francisco!
