Youngish Adult Ministry Updates
Hello Youngish Adults,

Happy March! Here's a brief rundown of the fun opportunities coming up, as well as our updated Spring 2019  Youngish Adult calendar of events.

C ontact Keli Cooper at  [email protected]  with any questions, comments, etc.

Thank you for being part of our Youngish Adult ministry!

Keli Cooper, Minister for Faith Formation
Sarah A. Foote, Director of Communications
Youngish Adult Book Study w/Rev. Molly:
This Evening, March 26th

Join us in the library on Tuesday evenings in the library for memoir-reading and lively spiritual discussion (and tonight, the 26th, for Keli's homemade vegetable soup!)! Through short excerpts from spiritual memoirs, we'll look at some of the aspects of faith (eg. forgiveness and church). Each week, we'll read a selection from well known memoirs. Using the theme as our guiding principle, we'll engage in discussion from both the material but also and more importantly, from our lives.  We'll end with a spiritual practice.

Please join us for the following Tuesday evenings: March 19th, 26th, and April 2nd @ 6:00 p.m. in the church library. You can download the readings here:

Light snacks will be provided.  Join us for the joy of deep conversation!
Lenten Devotional 2019: The Fruits of the Spirit

Here is your chance to follow along with the Lenten season using our  electronic version of the Lenten Devotional written by staff, family members, friends, and parishioners of St. Paul's!

You will notice a few differences between this electronic version and the spiral-bound booklets laid out in the Gathering Space. This is because we have corrected some dates that were initially listed incorrectly. They are listed correctly in the online version of the devotional.

We hope you'll enjoy reading reflections from our community and that they will become a part of your own spiritual practices during the season of Lent.
Easter Egg Hunt: Helpers Wanted!

The Annual Easter Egg hunt will directly follow the 10:00 a.m. Easter Service (April 21st)! We need help hiding the eggs and greeting our guests on that day. Helpers will slip out after communion and head towards the Capitol Grounds.

Please let Keli know if you are able to help with this fun event!
Community Lenten Series: The Rev. John Kinney

Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 27, we welcome the Rev. John Kinney to the pulpit for our Community Lenten Series, "City of God." Rev. Kinney will be preaching on Revelation.

The lunch that follows will be a choice of the following:
  • Chicken Sausage Bolognese on Jasmine rice w/buttered pesto peas w/Garden Salad or Fresh Fruit
  • Mediterranean Shrimp Salad w/Fresh Fruit and Croissant
  • Cheese Souffle w/Roasted Herb Tomatoes and Buttered Pesto Peas
You can find out more about the upcoming speakers and a full menu listing on our website here. Please join us!

Don't Miss Out On These Faith Formation Offerings!

Don't miss the ongoing Faith Formation offerings on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m. for the rest of Lent: Contemplative Prayer/Meditation in the Palmore Room, and Greek Scripture Study on the Beatitudes in the Library!  Each of the sessions stands by itself, so please feel free to join one class one week and then another class the next week OR commit to attending all five. This is intended to be open and welcome to all, whenever you can attend!

Please note: there will be NO Faith Formation on Palm Sunday, April 14 or Easter Sunday, April 21.

For more info, check out our web events on the Greek Study and Contemplative Prayer/Meditation.
