Fast Pass Request - Principal's Coffee Friday, April 05
We will follow our standard daily procedure by requiring visitors to sign in with the front office by showing their driver's license. After your license has been scanned into our system once, you will be able to make an advance request for a fast pass.  You are welcome to bring your license to have it scanned before the day of the event to enable us to print a fast pass. All fast pass requests must be received by 10:00 am on the day prior to the event.  If you have not previously signed in on campus or if you do not request a fast pass, you will need to arrive early, as check-in lines can be lengthy. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding as we make the safety and security of the students our priority.

Educator Receives
 Best Mannered Teacher Award

Congratulations to SCIS teacher  Ryan Rohlmeier  on his selection as the recipient of the "Best Mannered Teacher" award by the National League of Junior Cotillions - Fairview Chapter. NLJC is an etiquette and social dance training program involving thousands of students nationwide. Mr. Rohlmeier was nominated by his student,  Lindsey Hardwick  through her award-winning essay. The criteria for selection included the teacher's positive characteristics, how they show courtesy and respect for students, and why the person is a good role model.

From the Nurse
ATTENTION 6TH GRADE PARENTS:
There are two vaccinations required by the State of Texas for 7th grade: Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) and the meningococcal vaccine.  Typically students will receive these vaccines at their 11 or 12 year old check up.  If your student receives this vaccine, please email or fax a copy of their vaccination record to me.  Please don't wait until the week before school starts to get these vaccines.  Typically there will be a shortage of the vaccines, before school starts, because it is required of all 7th grade students in Texas.

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.

Thank you for your help!  My email is:  [email protected] and the fax # is 469-742-8401.

School Report Cards from 2017-18
I wanted to make you aware that the 2017-18 School Report Card (SRC) from the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is available on the district website under "Quick Links" and then under "Required Postings" or directly at:
The same reports can be accessed on our campus website under the "About" tab and then selecting TEA School Campus Report Cards.  The SRC provides information on the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR), as well as information student enrollment, class size averages, and financial expenditures.
As you may recall, districts do not receive a SRC but the STAAR performance at each campus contributed to Lovejoy ISD being one of only four districts of the 1227 districts and charter schools in Texas to receive the highest rating on the state accountability system with an overall grade of "A" with a scale score of 97 out of 100 possible points.  Please contact me if you have any questions concerning our School Report Card from the Texas Education Agency. Thank you for your continued support of Sloan Creek Intermediate School.
