Those We've Helped!
We had a record-breaking fundraising year in 2017, raising more than $25,000!  This meant an increase in our family grant amounts and the ability to respond when we learned of new cries for help from orphaned children suffering in war-torn parts of the world and from children in our own back yards in need of essentials as they navigate life in foster families.  Because of your generosity we were able to spread Laurencia's message of LOVE further than ever before.  Below are the children, parents, families, caregivers, and organizations who have benefitted from your generosity.  From the bottom of all of our hearts, THANK YOU for your continued support!
"We want to thank the Laurencia's Victory family, their sponsors, and participants and donors! International adoption is a huge financial burden to most families. And due to your grant, we were able to tackle a couple substantial adoption fees that wer e hanging over our head. We were so excited and grateful to be granted such a blessing from this remarkable and selfless organization. Thank you Laurencia's Victory for believing in us and wanting to be a part of helping us bring our son HOME! We were humbled that you followed our travel journey and hope that you were blessed in return by seeing it virtually and hopefully feeling the joy, love, and excitement as we met our son for the first time. We wish you continued blessings as you continue to grow your organization and serve the fatherless and the families that want to adopt these precious children."
"We arrived home with our kiddos on April 17th, Marie (9), Favor (6) and Melvin (11). Laurencia's Victory helped us bring our kids home! Because of your generosity, we were able to complete our adoption debt free. The only debt we incurred during this process was paying for our plane tickets on the way home. We are eternally grateful for what you did for our family. We have been home a month now and the kids are doing great! They have bonded so well with us and are SO happy here!"

"I am so happy to report that my son is doing very well amid the massive changes he has had to experience over the last 9 months since coming home forever. Your grant assistance was so vital to making this all happen and I want to sincerely thank you again for the help, as financing a teenager's wardrobe and general day-to-day existence is not cheap, as I am learning! Our journey has been wonderful and difficult and incredible all at the same time. My son's world was turned upside down when I asked him to leave behind the life he had known for 15 years and trust in me to be his mom.  But every day that passes, I can see him become more comfortable with the life he is building as a member of our family and it is lovely to watch.  His English is improving every day and he has worked so hard to make that possible. I am in awe at the dedication he puts into his English and math, as well as the artistic talent he possesses! I do want the donors to know how much I appreciate their contribution to helping to make my family possible and bring my son home where he belongs.  His life will never be the same because of them.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart."
"Oh my goodness, bless your hearts! Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! We appreciate it so much, you have no idea."
"Thank you for your generous donation to  Mustard  Seed Communities! With your gift, we are able to continue to meet the many needs of the children and families that we serve. Mustard Seed Communities  now cares for over 600 children in 14 communities, throughout 4 nations. Our aim is to make a difference in the lives of children who were abandoned, children who have disabilities, children who suffer from HIV/AIDS and teens who are pregnant and alone."

Children in Syria and Iraq have had to flee their homes, schools and communities. They are often housed in IDP camps (internally displaced camps) and have limited access basic necessities. During his missionary work in Iraq, Victor and his wife recognized the need for comfort and joy in these childrens' lives.  They began delivering Lion and The Lamb comfort toys and noticed an immediate impact in the lives of the children that received them. It's a small gift that brings a tremendous amount of joy and peace in their lives.  " Dear Katrina, Laura and Anna! May the name of the Lord be praised! What encouragement and amazing partnership with you all! Thank you so much, we really needed this shot in the arm for these Syrian children! God Bless You, Victor and Eileen and Teams!"

I received your name from Kristen.  She said you signed up to sponsor two Orphans at Mercy Orphanage in Andhra Pradesh, India.  That is so great! On behalf of Pastor Raj and Amistad Worldwide, thank you so much!  India is a land of great needs-more orphans than any other nation-37 million.  Also more child sex slaves than any other country as well as more unreached people groups who have never heard about the love of God! I go every
year and see what a difference this makes for these kids- just completed my 7 th trip!
May God richly bless you for your kindness to this boy and girl.

Laurencia's Victory sponsors caregivers at an orphanage in Ukraine via a monthly donation to Maya's Hope. Please click the link to see a report on how funds are used to love and care for the beautiful children in Ukraine.
"Thank you so very, very much, Laurencia's Victory for your $2,000.00 donation towards helping us reach our goal for the 14th Year of "Wishing on An Angel/Christmas Cheer 2017.
We are so grateful for your love and kindness for the the orphans "left behind". Some of these children are available for adoption and without a family many will lead a life in an a very large institution. Others need an individual orphan caretaker, bedridden  orphan caretaker or just a sponsor to let them know someone out there cares about them.
Ukraine is trying to make changes to their system, but with the war, lack of funds, education, stimulation, and individual care the littlest up to the oldest will always suffer.  Your care and support for these orphans has made their lives worth living and their will be joy in the hearts of hundreds of the most needy during this 14th Year of "Wishing on An Angel/Christmas Cheer 2017. With so much love and thanks to you and all at Laurencia's Victory!"

Regarding a grant LV provided to send 5 adoptive mamas to a respite retreat: "Thank you! So grateful. We always have those moms who need to come but can't afford it. It's such a blessing to tell them not to worry, just come."

We have seen, heard, and experienced story after story of children showing up on the doorstep of a foster home with a trash bag in their hands. It breaks our hearts. This sends the message that they are disposable, that no one cares. We want them to know they are loved & they are worth more than a trash bag! We hope these young ones feel that in some small way through these placement bags.  Thank you for being here and partnering with us!

Chinese Orphanage Adaptive Walking Equipment
"This morning, despite my best efforts to contain them, my tears flowed... We met a sweet girl who has cerebral palsy and has recently had surgery to extend her  muscle to help her walk. So thankful for those who have donated to Laurencias Victory as through them the money was donated to purchase a piece of rehab equipment that allowed her to be back at the orphanage for her rehab. This is the same piece of equipment she had in the hospital. It is believed that with the surgery and the therapy that this piece of equipment will help provide she will be able to walk. This sweet girl herself expressed her gratitude, with tears in her eyes, as she has been in the hospital for almost 3 months. She has a great attitude! She said "the surgery was hard but I believe the worst is behind me and I am very determined to walk". She is so brave and strong!!! You could sense her determination she was able to articulate so well her desire to walk." - Beth O., a Monticello mama and her daughter from a mission trip to China

Our Brother, Nick

As many of you know, on February 9th this year we suffered the agonizing loss of our brother (Laurencia's Uncle), Nick Dehmer.  Our lives were forever altered that day and we miss him so very much. In memory of the helpful, kind, generous, strong man that he was and to hopefully help others who suffered the way he did, we will be honoring Nick in a special way at the 2018 L.O.V.E. Run. Our hope is that we can offer information about suicide prevention and raise funds to assist local families who might be struggling with depression or suffering from the suicide of a loved one.  Nick's siblings, Laurencia's Victory, and his whole family urge you to tell a loved one if you are feeling depressed or hopeless.  We pray that no one will ever have to suffer this terrible loss and that everyone would recognize their value and worth in this life and know the Father of us all will always hold you in the palm of His hand.

Donations to Nick's wife and children may be made here. We could never thank everyone enough for the outpouring of prayers, support and love shown to our family in this dark hour.

In Loving Memory of our Nick and our Laurencia...
