Robotics Team heads to world championship
After winning at the Kansas City Regionals, the Ray-Pec High School Robotics Team, System Meltdown, qualified for the world championships April 17-20 in Houston! Ray-Pec also won the Gracious Professionalism Award for demonstrating FIRST Robotics core values, cooperation, and professionalism on and off the playing field. School Board election is Tuesday, April 2
Voters will select two board members
Election Day is Tuesday, April 2. Four candidates are seeking election to the Ray-Pec School Board. There are two (2) positions available with three-year terms.

PreK Registration is Tuesday, April 2
Learn about early learning options and enrollment
Parents of children who will be 4 years old before Aug. 1, 2019, are invited to attend Pre-Kindergarten registration and enrollment on Tuesday, April 2, at Shull Early Learning Center, 11706 E. 211th St., Peculiar. 

Parents may attend either the 5 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. session to learn about PreK options and tuition rates, schedule a screening, complete registration paperwork, and provide required documents for enrollment. If you are unable to attend, please call 816-892-1210 to schedule an appointment to complete the enrollment process and set up a screening time for your child. Pre-Kindergarten Registration
Summer School registration to begin April 5
Summer School scheduled to begin on June 5
The 2019 Summer School program will begin June 5 and end June 27 for grades K-8 and June 28 for students entering grades 9-12. 

Watch for registration information coming April 5!

2019 Summer School sites:
  • Bridle Ridge Elementary
  • Creekmoor Elementary
  • Eagle Glen Elementary
  • Ray-Pec South Middle School (students entering grades 6-8)
  • Ray-Pec High School (students entering grades 9-12)
Elementary (K-5) information:
  • The program integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math topics.
  • Session 1: June 5 - 14 (includes Fridays)
  • Session 2: June 17 - 27 (no Fridays)
  • Attend one session for two weeks or two sessions for a total of four weeks.
  • Student hours - 8:30 a.m. to 3:50 a.m.
Middle School (6-8) information:
  • The program integrates science, technology, engineering, arts, and math topics .
  • Session 1: June 5 - 14 (includes Fridays)
  • Session 2: June 17 - 27 (no Fridays)
  • Attend one session for two weeks or two sessions for a total of four weeks.
  • Student hours - 7:35 a.m. to 2:55 a.m.
High School (9-12) information:
  • The majority of courses for credit will meet five days per week.
  • Enrichment courses will be four days per week (Monday - Thursday)
  • Options to take one or two courses for credit Monday through Friday.
  • Student hours:  7:25 to 10:55 a.m. for morning session and/or 11:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. for afternoon session.
  • Online courses will be available.
Raymore Day at the K is April 26
Sixth graders to sing National Anthem at annual event

The 12th annual Raymore Day at the K is Friday, April 26, when the Royals host the Los Angeles Angels. April 10 is the deadline to order tickets. Ray-Pec middle school students will perform the National Anthem. Tickets are $25 (Outfield Plaza) and $14 (View Reserved). A parking pass is $13. Order tickets at the Chamber office at 1000 West Foxwood Dr., Suite 200 (inside the Country Club Bank building), Raymore, or use this order form  and return it to the Chamber office or any elementary or middle school.

  • Friday, April 5: Mock Crash scenario at Ray-Pec High School
  • Saturday, April 6: Prom, 8-11 p.m., Stoney Creek Hotel, Independence.
  • Friday, April 19: No School, holiday.
  • Monday, April 22: School in session for snow makeup day.
  • Friday, May 17: RPHS graduation, 7 p.m. at Community of Christ Auditorium.
  • Monday, May 27: No school, Memorial Day.
  • Friday, May 31: Early release. Last day of school.
