KALEIDOSCOPE PLAY AND LEARN®

Kaleidoscope Play and Learn® is a FREE weekly playgroup for young children birth to age 5 and their parents and/or caregivers.   Many parents rely on family and good friends to care for their children while they are at work.

Family, friend, and neighbor caregivers are an essential option for child care. Kaleidoscope has emerged as  a strategy to support these parents and caregivers and the children in their care  by helping them  understand how the time they spend with young children can positively affect each child's growth and brain development.

33-55% of children under the age of 5 are cared for by Family, Friend and Neighbor caregivers.

Weekly Sessions:  Wednesdays 10:00 - 11:30 am
Located at:  New Testament Child Development Center

THINK BABIES™ focused on Early Care and Education during the month of March. Topics include: Affordable child care, availability of child care sites, better compensation for infant-toddler teachers, and high quality child care.
We need a solution to address the acute shortage of quality infant toddler care which exists in almost every county in the state.   Less than 20% of the infant-toddler population can be served in the existing supply of licensed programs. #ThinkBabiesNC
Working families need access to affordable, high-quality child care for their babies, but the annual average cost of infant care in NC is more expensive than the annual cost of public college tuition, rent, or food and transportation.  #ThinkBabiesNC
