Best Opening Day Ever at the Urban Farm

Last Saturday we had 17 people volunteer for a total of 29 hours! What a wonderful start to the season. Next weekend, we'll be preparing beds for planting and spring seeds.

Did you know that now is a great time to plant seeds in Northeast Ohio? You must be mindful of the ones you select, but leafy greens like spinach, collards, lettuce and other veggies like radishes and peas can be planted as soon as the soil can be worked. Join volunteers at Trinity's Urban Farm this Saturday, March 30 from 9 .m. - 11a.m. No experience is necessary, and volunteers are welcome to come any time between 9am and 11am, even if you have just ½ hour to help. Contact Scott Blanchard at scottwblanchard@roadrunner.com for more details.

Would you like to support Trinity's Urban Farm in their quest to harvest 3,500-4,000 lbs. of food this year? 4,000 lbs. would be 2 tons, all of which will be donated to hunger ministries including Trinity's own A Place at the Table lunch program. Consider donating at the Farm's fundraising website by clicking here. Thank you for helping make our 14th farming season the best one yet!

Nebraska Flood Relief Request

Dear Friends in Christ,

My home state of Nebraska is under water, bridges have been washed away and people are in need of significant relief aid. The church that raised me and formed me is right in the middle of the state, in a very hard-hit rural county. If you would like to contribute to encourage and support the efforts of that Episcopal church to help residents of that county to recover from the flood, please write a check to Trinity Cathedral with Nebraska Flood Relief in the memo and we will see that the money is used effectively.

Please continue to pray for the victims, the responders and the aid workers in that part of God's creation.

Blessings,
Sarah Shofstall
