CAWA Chair of the Board, Dan Hanson, Jr. of Hanson Distributing Company, has appointed David McKinney of AutoZone to the Board of Directors. When Chair Hanson announced the appointment he commented: "We look forward to David's participation and contributions that will assist the Association in achieving its goals as a viable automotive aftermarket industry organization". "We appreciate David and AutoZone continuing their position in leadership for the Association to assure the future successes of CAWA and the industry we serve", he continued. 

Mr. McKinney serves as Vice President, Government and Community Relations, Customer Satisfaction for AutoZone. Prior to joining AutoZone, he served as Senior Vice President of Public Policy for the Greater Memphis Chamber. He also served in a number of capacities in state and local government, including Associate General Counsel for the State of Tennessee and Director of Legislative Affairs and Senior County Attorney for Shelby County Government. He began his career in private law practice at Burch, Porter & Johnson, PLLC. Mr. McKinney earned his Bachelor of Business Administration and Juris Doctorate for the University of Memphis. He is an active member of a number of national boards and committees, including, but not limited to: Government Affairs Committee for the Auto Care Association; Responsible Battery Coalition Board; and Government Affairs Committee for the Retail Industry Leaders Association.
