The next Oklahoma Municipal Clerks, Treasurers & Finance Officers State Certification and Handbook Training event will be held on April 5th in Woodward, OK. This workshop fulfills State Certification requirements for the MC&T Certification Program and fulfills 4 Certified Municipal Official credit hours.

Economic Development Workshop April 26th, Midwest City
Economic Growth, Development, and Sustainability

This class will be held on April 26th from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Rose State College Professional Training Center in Midwest City. It will provide an overview of the economic development process. Attendees will learn about the strategies, resources, and programs that are available through state and federal agencies to assist Oklahoma municipalities to succeed in an ever changing economy.

Featured Presentation: Jeff Seymour, Director of Business Development for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, will present  21 st  Century Economic Development . The presentation will focus on topics, such as what is economic development, current economic development conversations affecting Oklahoma communities, economic development best practices in non-urban areas, and when economic development hits home – topics most affecting our cities and towns and the citizens therein.

OkMRF To Dedicate Board Room
In Honor Of Bertha Ann Young
The Trustees of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund will express their gratitude to Bertha Ann Young for her many years of exemplary public service by honoring her in perpetuity and dedicating the OkMRF Board room forevermore “The BAY” in a dedication ceremony to be held on March 29, 2019 after conclusion of their regularly scheduled board meeting.
OkMRF CEO/Executive Director, Jodi Cox stated "In 1978, Bertha Ann Young, a long-time Shawnee resident, was elected to the Board of Trustees of the OkMRF. She held this post for thirty-nine years and retired from the Board on April 28, 2017. Notably, she served as Board Secretary for thirty-seven of those years. Bertha Ann’s devotion to her fiduciary duty impacted thousands of lives and will perpetually enable municipal employees statewide to retire well." Cox reported that Bertha Ann sadly died on August 19, 2017, shortly after her retirement from the OkMRF Board.
