Attorneys Team Up With VHH As Participants make the case for Asylum

By John Morrissey - A Viator House volunteer
To the young men residing at Viator House of Hospitality, the support they experience is a welcome pause from traumatic months or even years making their way along a perilous path very much on their own. Supported by staff members and volunteers, secure in their daily pursuits of school, work and friendship, they can focus on the ultimate goal of gaining asylum and striding into a better life. Dear Friends

Last October, one of our participants left VHH to move with a family member. As he was leaving with his relative, one of our other participants, H, turned to his case manager and asked, “When will someone come for me?” Sadly, no relatives will come for him. When I heard his question, I thought of you.
When you tutor, mentor, drive, cover a shift, provide dental, medical, legal or counseling services, teach a class at Viator Academy, realign a back, offer driving lessons or employment, make material and/or financial donations, you come not only for H but also for all the participants and staff.

On behalf of all of us at VHH, thank you for coming.
