C|M|LAW Produces Highest Bar Passage Rate Among First-Time Takers of February Ohio Bar Exam

Kimberly Corral '12  
Five years ago, Kimberly Corral '12 was a recently minted attorney with a passion for justice. Working as a solo practitioner on criminal justice cases, she received a call from Ru-El Sailor that would begin a five-year representation that would culminate in exonerating a man who spent 15 years in a prison for a murder he did not commit.

C|M|LAW Receives President's Award for Excellence in Diversity
C|M|LAW was honored with the President's Award for Excellence in Diversity during CSU's 2018 Annual Diversity Council Awards Celebration. C|M|LAW's Dean's Diversity Council received the award, accepted by Professor Matthew Green and Assistant Director of Admission Gina Huffman, for our diverse programming as one of three of CSU's nine college-based councils to receive an award.

Karen Rubin Named Adjunct Professor of the Year
Adjunct Professor Karen Rubin '85 has been honored as the Judge Richard M. Markus Adjunct Professor of the Year.   Rubin  has taught at C|M|LAW since 2011 and currently teaches the Legal Profession course.  She is counsel at Thompson Hine, where she is a member of the litigation practice group.


Prof. Sterio Receives "Smart Women Award"
Professor and Associate Dean Milena Sterio was honored with the "Smart Women Award" in the Progressive Woman Award category, presented by Smart Business ClevelandDean Lee Fisher nominated her for the award and took this photo. Judge Francine B. Goldberg '90 (pictured left center) was recognized with the inaugural Golda Meir Award from the Cleveland Council of NA'AMAT USA.  The award ceremony was emceed by Dean Lee Fisher.

Prof. Sagers Speaks with National Media on Various Antitrust Matters
Professor Chris Sagers has been quoted recently by several national media outlets, including CNN Money, the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance and Bloomberg, on matters of antitrust policy. 


Prof. Sterio Interviewed on The Sound of Ideas on Immigration
Professor & Associate Dean Milena Sterio appeared on WCPN's "The Sound of Ideas,"  where she discussed the recent federal court ruling on the DACA immigration program.  

C|M|LAW Students Celebrate Prof. Sterio's Boston Marathon Performance
Professor and Associate Dean Milena Sterio  recently completed the Boston Marathon.  Her Civil Procedure  students cheered her on and presented her with a celebratory cake upon her return.  C|M|LAW student Patrick Lipaj (pictured)  likened Sterio's perseverance through the course's famous "Heartbreak Hill" to the  tenacity  needed for law school.
