TURN OFF YOUR ENGINE TO HELP RIVERSIDE SCHOOL GO GREEN!
New anti-idling signs that have been installed around the drive way in front of Riverside school thanks to our  Green Committee  and their efforts to increase air quality for our kids around school. Idling is harmful for many reasons including:
  • Breathing in exhaust can aggravate asthma, allergies, and cardiovascular disease.
  • 10 seconds of idling uses more fuel than turning off the engine and restarting it
  • Every gallon of gas burned produces more than 20 pounds of greenhouse gases
Let's come together and make an effort to change this behavior for the wellness of our students and community.  Get more information about  Connecticut's anti-idling efforts.
