Grade 8 Entrepreneurship Class

This week, Christina Liva, founder of Yay Lunch!, shared her entrepreneurial experience with our 8th graders. As the entrepreneurship class teams identify viable solutions to problems they confront in their daily lives, hearing the story of another's journey serves as a real-world example of the business development and iteration processes. The teams will again offer a Peabody Pop-Up Marketplace in December where their products will be available for purchase. Stay tuned for more details!
Calling all GeoBee participants!

We’re looking for students who are interested in participating in, or learning about, the National Geographic Bee. An informational session will be held in Mr. Brinkop’s classroom October 10, 3:30-4:15. We’ll describe the plan, answer questions, and give guidance for study materials. Students will study on their own during the following weeks then meet up again November 14 at the same time for a practice round. The final school-level competition will be held December 5 at 3:30. Here is a link to Geo Bee Info if your child would like to begin exploring soon. Please direct questions to Ms. Lacy or Mr. Brinkop . Thank you!

Middle School Attraction Books

It's that time of year again--we are selling Attractions Books to fundraise for the Peabody Middle School Music program! The goal is for each student to sell at least two Attractions Books. They can be sold to family, neighbors, teachers, or anyone else you can think of! If your student is unable to sell the two Attractions Books, that is completely fine.

We distributed Attractions Books to each student today during their Flex Block. Unsold books or $50, either via check or EZPay, are due back to the school no later than Friday, October 25th. This is the day of the school dance. Students will be expected to turn in their books/money before attending the middle school dance that evening. To keep track of who has paid, it is very important that if you are paying by check your student makes sure that their name and "Attractions Books" are written either in the memo line of the check, or on an envelope containing the check.

This letter contains payment information. If you have any other questions, please let Ms. Colleen know!
