Executive Director's Roundatable - An exceptional learning opportunity for local nonprofit Executive Directors
This spring we have several openings in our monthly Executive Director Roundtable groups, which are professionally facilitated by local coach and facilitator.
The purpose of the ED Roundtable is to bring local Executive Directors together to:
- Learn and share best practices with each other
- Support each other in handling challenges around fund development, board relationships and managing staff and volunteers
- Enhance leadership skills.
Interested EDs are encouraged to apply online between now and April 15. We are hopeful that the new members will begin meeting with the group in May.
Requirements:
You must commit to meeting monthly for 2 hours for 1 year.
Group participation is 100% confidential
Executive Directors must have paid staff, and your organization must be in good standing with the IRS to participate.
We are looking for a range of experience levels to round out the group.
Selected participants will contribute $150 towards the cost of the program. The Whatcom Community Foundation provides financial support to cover the full cost.

To empower adults and protect children, Brigid Collins proudly partners with Darkness to Light to provide the nationally recognized, Stewards of Children training.
This revolutionary program educates adults to recognize and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. It is the only child abuse prevention program shown to increase awareness of child sexual abuse, improve attitudes about adult responsibility and increase protective behaviors.
Trainings are offered to the public each month, and unless otherwise indicated, begin at 5:30pm and last two hours. To cover the cost of materials, there is a $10 fee to attend.

City of Bellingham 2019 Small & Simple Grant Program - $5,000 grants to neighborhood associations!
Mayor Kelli Linville has announced a new Small and Simple Grant program for 2019 neighborhood-improvement projects. All City-recognized neighborhood associations are eligible to apply. Deadline for applications is May 15.
The program is designed to offer neighborhoods a chance to collaborate on hands-on projects that support each unique neighborhood character and contribute to improving their community. Grants will be awarded for up to $5,000.
The application process is now open, and applications will be accepted through
May 15, 2019.
