It takes a special community to ensure that Salus continues to be a leader in health science education. In 1995, to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the University's founding College, the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (PCO), 76 people of note were awarded the Pennsylvania College of Optometry Presidential Medal. On Friday, April 26, 2019, another 35 will be awarded Presidential Medals to again commemorate milestones: 100 years of PCO and 10 years of Salus University.
Salus University is embarking on a two-year intense self-study in order to reaffirm the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) accreditation. Institutions must undergo this self-study every eight years in order to remain accredited through MSCHE. The two-year self-study focuses on the University's commitment to continuous improvement and the ability to meet the mandated rigorous standards across all programs.
