4th Grade Move Up Ceremony
This ceremony is planned for the last day of school. As of now, the last day is scheduled for June 14th . Please note that, for fire codes, each child will be given 5 tickets for family members to attend the breakfast and ceremony. We just wanted to give you a heads up to save the date as well as noting that there is a ticket limit.
Narragansett Elementary School Mentoring Program

Narragansett Elementary School is looking for caring adults to spend time with our students. We are looking for volunteers to spend at least one hour each week with a student to help support our Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies (PBIS), safety first, expect respect, and act responsibly. If you are interested please contact AnnMarie Zaborski at azaborski@nssk12.org

NES PTO WILL BE HOSTING THEIR SPRING BOOK FAIR DURING READING WEEK:

APRIL 9TH - APRIL 11TH
FAMILY NIGHT APRIL 10TH 6-8PM
The theme this year is “Laugh out Loud Reading”!!! To kick off the week, classroom teachers will receive the book, Mother Bruce , by Ryan T. Higgins. Each grade level will have a chance to win a grade appropriate book for their classroom library, if they correctly answer a question about this hilarious story!  There will be a (voluntary) classroom door contest, where students can participate in designing a cover (or a scene) from the book they think is the funniest. Winning classrooms will receive a box of popsicles. Guest readers are welcomed (background checks a must!)!

NES Art Show



When : May 23rd 5-7pm
Where : NES Cafeteria

Grade levels k-4 will be participating where they will have their artwork displayed, matted, and framed. You may purchase this for $25 with a portion going to the NES Art Dept! The school-wide theme of this year’s art show is collage with the sub themes outlined below:

K: Birds, nests, eggs after Steve Jenkins Mama Built a Little Nest
1: Abstract/geometric paper quilts
2: Self portraits 
3: Eric Carle inspired insects with custom printed papers
4: Animals inspired by Steve Jenkins

*Art work will be returned shortly after the show if not purchased.

Concert members will receive 5 tickets per family to keep within fire codes.

We are starting to plan this event! This day is full of fun including games, a show, and a cook out! 4th grade students will need a t shirt for the annual t shirt signing event!
We will be asking for parent classroom volunteers. Please be sure your background check is up to date.
The theme will be Hawaiian!

Celebrating Earth Week at NES!
Earth Week In April!
This year, we are officially celebrating Earth Week at NES!
Activities will include: A visit from Max Man (about recycling), open garden times, grade level book/video about Earth Week, lunch presentations, and optional contests!
