"Behind the Headset" newsletter is named a Constant Contact All Star
Thanks to you, our DEC employees, the vendor we use to send this newsletter, Constant Contact, has named us a 2018 All Star. According to Constant Contact, only 10 percent of their customers achieve this designation for excellence in the following criteria:
     Level of engagement with email campaigns
     Open, bounce, and click-through rates
     Use of social sharing features
     Use of mailing list sign-up tools
     Use of reporting tools

March in review
Consoles installed in Training Center, Open House date set
Workers brought in the equipment for the new consoles and desks in the Training Center on March 4 and worked on assembling them in early March. DEC's technology team then worked to instal lequipment throughout March. The Ribbon-Cutting and Open House for the Training Center will be 4-6 p.m., May 30. Stay tuned for more details.

Platoons celebrate holiday
A and C Platoons celebrated St. Patrick's Day with goodies from COS Cynthia Stewart over the holiday weekend.

March's #I am Richmond 911 honoree is Tori Hymons

Congratulations to Tori Hymons, March's honoree for #IamRichmond911. In addition to serving as the training acting supervisor, Tori mentors youth through the organization that she founded, Youth With A Destiny.

Congratulations to Charles Finke , who correctly answered 10 for the number of filed public complaints that DEC investigated in 2018. The answer could be found on the DEC website . Chuck's entry was chosen at random from all valid entries, and he won his choice of either a wireless charging pad or a power bank as a prize.

April trivia contest
All employees who submit a correct answer by the deadline according to these instructions will be entered into a drawing for a prize. All contest entries must be submitted by clicking the link in the box below and entering "April Communicator Challenge answer" in the subject line. The correct answer and winner will be announced by email to all employees. Deadline to enter is April 12.
