White House announces Task Force on protecting Native American children in the Indian Health Service system

President Trump releases FY 2020 Budget Request to Congress
3/11 Release
Proposes FY 2020 funding cuts to HHS by 12%, including major cuts to Medicare and Medicaid. Proposes to fund IHS at $5.945 billion in FY 2020 ($140 million over the FY 2019 enacted amount); eliminates funding for Health Education program and would cut CHR funding by $39 million; and recommends $20 million for the CHAP program.
