Please read these instructions completely and carefully. They contain information about all of our Sunday events, including parking and the race course. Share this with your relay teammates, family and friends who will be waiting for you at the finish line area.
Be sure to download the Flying Pig Marathon app, sponsored by TQL, available on your
Apple
or
Android
device. This will be a great tool to use throughout the weekend for information on race schedules, participant tracking, getting around and more!
At the Expo:
The P&G Health and Fitness Expo will again fill all three halls of the Duke Energy Center! When you enter the convention center, you'll be able to pick up your packet, visit our vendors and charity partners and collect your race premium items. The Duke Energy Center is located at 525 Elm St., Cincinnati, OH 45202. The expo is open from 12-7 p.m. on Friday, May 4 and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Saturday, May 5.
RELAY PACKET PICK-UP IS PICKED UP BY TEAM NAME. Only one person from your team will pick up all four packets, which will be grouped together at the Open or Corporate Relay Packet Pick-Up table. For Sunday Event participants, including the relay, there will NOT be on-site packet pick-up on race morning.
Be sure to review our
parking guides
for the entire weekend including the expo and race day. Or, take the bus to the P&G Health & Fitness Expo.
There are six routes that stop at the Duke Energy Convention Center, 11 one block away and 28 bus routes that come to Government Square, just three blocks from the Expo. You can plan your route using Google Transit. Just put in your home address and the address of the Duke Energy Convention Center and get a list of buses and times to use.
NOTE:
All Second St. ramps off I-75 and Route 50 will close at 6:00 a.m. race morning. Navigate to the start line and around the course using the Waze app. We've shared our course and street closures with them and they will be reflected within the app when navigating.

All Sunday races, including the relays, start at 6:30 a.m.
ONLY THE FIRST RUNNER SHOULD GO TO THE START LINE

Race (Bib) Number Requirements
Each participant will receive a Race (Bib) number that must be worn on race day.
Reminder:
Relay team bibs will be marked with Runner a, Runner b, Runner c and Runner d. This does NOT correspond to which leg of the race you are running. You may decide that independently. The Runner a/b/c/d designation is how you registered in our system and will allow us to identify each of you in case of an emergency. Each bib will be in a properly marked and in a corresponding envelope at packet pickup.
Please complete emergency information on back of bib. DO NOT alter your race number in any way. Your bib number must be visible and worn on the front outside of all clothing during the entire race so that it may be clearly seen for runner identification and race photographers on the course.
Bib numbers are non-transferable and MUST be worn by the runner to whom it is assigned. Your team timing chip will be a small baton that must be passed from team member to team member at each relay zone. The last participant completing the last leg can discard the baton in the marked receptacle in the finish line area.

Relay Exchange
Follow the signs at each relay zone that instruct you where to line up according to your bib number. Find out the pace of the runner(s) before you so you can estimate when they will be arriving at your relay zone so you can watch carefully for them when they might be arriving. Volunteers will announce incoming bib numbers so you can listen, as well as watch, for your teammate's arrival.
Relay Bag Check
Take your clear bag you received at the expo and give to the relay runner you'll be meeting on the course and retrieve from them after your leg of the race as you hand off the timing baton. E.g. Runner 1 should give his/her bag of clothes to runner 2, 2 to 3, 3 to 4 and 4 should have runner 1 check the bag at the start line which we will transport to the finish line. Runners can hand off the bag at each relay zone as they meet to hand off the timing chip.
Medal Distribution
Ride the bus back to the finish line. You will be dropped near the finish line on Elm St. Volunteers will greet you as you get off the bus and point you to the finish line entrance area to get your relay medals and additional fluids and food. If you use alternate transportation back to the finish line, you can access the finish line on Elm St. just north of Mehring Way.
On The Course
The open relay and corporate relay are FULL MARATHON relays. When the full marathon and half marathon split just after mile 8, follow signs to the FULL marathon course.
