: Today, Port Fourchon Director Chett Chiasson and Terrebonne Levee Conservation District Executive Director Reggie Dupre, testified in support of continuing to collaborate with the Gulf of Mexico Offshore Oil and Gas Industry in order to restore Louisiana's coast.

, "It is vital for the Committee to understand through the contribution of Louisiana’s share of offshore energy revenue produced in the Gulf of Mexico, the continued ability for oil and gas exploration and production in the Gulf will be directly funding coastal environmental restoration in Louisiana."
Executive Director Dupre
, "Today, the people of Louisiana’s gift to the country is affordable domestic energy through its service of the oil and gas industry. My region is a leader in this service especially that of deep‐water oil and gas production." "Our ability to work on this coast is threatened by our problems but our dedication and resilience answers the call each time," he continued.
