T he new CRYSTAL BRIDGES MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART will once again be the centerpiece of our autumn tour. It was spectacularly crafted by Canadian architect MOSHE SAFDIE out of steel, wood, glass, concrete and copper in a gorgeous setting of interconnected ravines and hills in
BENTONVILLE, ARKANSAS. We will also visit KANSAS CITY to see the newly expanded NELSON ATKINS MUSEUM, the TRUMAN PRESIDENTIAL MUSEUM & LIBRARY in INDEPENDENCE and more!

THURSDAY, NOVERMBER 8 - Plan to arrive in KANSAS CITY by early afternoon. Upon arrival we will visit the KEMPER MUSEUM OF CONTEMPORARY ART before we travel south to BENTONVILLE.  and check in at the DOUBLETREE SUITES BY HILTON.. Optional plans will be made for dinner this evening.
 
FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9 - Our morning tour of BENTONVILLE will include the MILDRED B. COOPER MEMORIAL CHAPEL by E. FAY JONES, a student of FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT. Then spend the rest of the day enjoying the beautiful landscapes, inspiring architecture of MOSHE SAFDIE and the collections of painting, photographs, sculpture, and more at the CRYSTAL BRIDGES MUSEUM. It consists of several pavillions nestled around two creek-filled ponds with a sculpture garden, hiking trails, and 200,000 feet of gallery space. Dinner is included at the CRYSTAL BRIDGES MUSEUM OF AMERICAN ART.  
 
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10 - Depart BENTONVILLE for EUREKA SPRINGS for a tram ride through its charming Victorian streets and a tour of the splendid THORNCROWN CHAPEL, another masterpiece by E. FAY JONES. Lunch is included before our return trip to KANSAS CITY where we will check in at the RAPHAEL HOTEL located in the charming COUNTRY CLUB PLAZA area. Dinner and an evening of jazz are included.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 11- A morning tour of KANSAS CITY will focus on the city's variety of architectural styles from Beaux Arts to Postmodern and end at the extraordinary NATIONAL WORLD WAR I MUSEUM and MEMORIAL. In the afternoon we will visit the NELSON ATKINS MUSEUM with its fine collections from every continent. Dinner is included.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 12 - This morning we will visit the HARRY S. TRUMAN MUSEUM & LIBRARY located in nearby
INDEPENDENCE. Free time for lunch on your own before returning to the airport for your return flight to your home city.

THE COST OF LAND ARRANGEMENTS is $2190 per person, double occupancy. The single supplement is $425. We will make every effort to find you a roommate if you are interested. BROOKLYN MUSEUM
THURSDAY, JUNE 28, 2018  
SPACE IS STILL AVAILABLE
for our upcoming trip to the fabulous BROOKLYN MUSEUM. In addition to an opportunity to enjoy the Museum's splendid permanent collections  of American, European, Egyptian, Contemporary and Decorative art, and more, you can see their special exhibit 'DAVID BOWIE IS'. Five years after this dazzling exhibit opened at the VICTORIA AND ALBERT MUSEUM in London the exhibition's last stop is NEW YORK where DAVID BOWIE'S life and career ended. It  is an historic tour of the great rock star's 50 year career including artifacts, clothing, paintings many of which have never been seen before. You can also visit the adjaceent BROOKLYN BOTANIC GARDEN where the roses will be in bloom. COST: $75 for the bus. Admissions costs to the museum and garden are extra.
