National College Decision Day!
To date, the Class of 2018 has been awarded over $16 million in grants and scholarships to colleges and universities, and the dollar amount continues to rise! On May 1, National College Decision Day, Resurrection seniors enjoyed a special celebration.

Honor Society Inductions
On Thursday, April 26, 2018, Resurrection students were inducted into the following honor societies:
National Honor Society; International Thespian Society;
Modern Music Masters (Tri-M) Honor Society;
Mu Alpha Theta/Math Honor Society; National Art Honor Societ; Science National Honor Society; Societa Onoraria Italica/Italian Honor Society; and Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica/Spanish Honor Society; and
Quill & Scroll International Honor Society.
The guest speaker at the inductions was Resurrection alumna Dr. Josephine Puleo '97, who shared advice about persevering through academic and life struggles. Dr. Puleo practices as a dental surgeon and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loyola University and attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, graduating as a Doctor of Dental Surgery.
Congratulations to our students on their outstanding academic achievements!

Spring Fine Arts events are underway! The Choir and Chamber Orchestra Spring Concert was on April 24, 2018 and additional events continue in May. All are welcome to attend!

in the Resurrection Library to share her new novel,
Digging In
.

Loretta Nyhan's warm, witty, and wonderful novel,

The Future of Science is Female
All students, staff, faculty and parents are welcome to attend!
Join the Resurrection Science Department for an opportunity to view research projects conducted by Resurrection's
Honors Biology students.
The students implemented research by collecting three pieces of data, conducting interviews, making observations, and conducting controlled experiments. All are welcome to visit the symposium to view the students' projects, including data analysis and research conclusions.

The Resurrection Science Club & Yoga Club, in conjunction with the
Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program,
is hosting the annual ResPunzel hair donation program
on
Tuesday, May 22
.
All hair types are accepted, except dyed, bleached or permed hair. Hair stylists will be available during lunch and seminar to cut 8 or more inches from all students and staff members who are willing to donate. All donated hair is used to make wigs for cancer patients. Contact Science Club moderator Ms. Sarah Brendzel at [email protected]

Class of 2019 Senior Portraits
Juniors
- Mark your calendars for Senior Portraits - the dates are scheduled
for
June 4, 5, 6 and July 18, 2018 from
8 am to 3 pm at the Resurrection Little Theatre.
Your yearbook portrait will be taken at this time using a provided black drape and pearls,
you will need to wear a tank top under the drape.
Information about appointment times and photo packages will be sent by the Lifetouch/Prestige Portraits closer to the end of the school year.
