"Carol of the Bells: Music for the Season"

Join WCMS for the first recital of its "Concerts of Hope" Series for the 2020-2021 school year. This live streaming event will include music by J.S. Bach, Britten, Douglas, Handel, Hoover, and Tchaikovsky, with many seasonal favorites plus conversations with the performers. The concert will feature WCMS Woodwind and Brass teaching artists Glenn Dickson, clarinet; Kyoko Hida-Battaglia, oboe; Ceora Jaffe, flute; Jessica Lizak, flute; Dan Teager, trumpet; and special guests Stephanie Busby, bassoon; Elizabeth England, oboe; Michael McLaughlin, accordion/piano; and Rev. Burns Stanfield, trumpet. Streaming at 7:30 PM on our Facebook and YouTube channels. Please share with family and friends!

Jr. District Mock Auditions - 2:00 - 3:30 PM
For middle and junior high school students trying out for the MMEA Junior District Festival. This workshop will provide a wealth of information about the audition process including how to prepare, manage nerves, and develop presentation skills. Students will divide into vocal and instrument groups to perform for adjudicators and receive constructive feedback on their solos and scales. Held live on Zoom; $25 per participant. Open to all; you do not need to be enrolled at WCMS to participate. Register online by January 11 or call 781-721-2950 for more information.

All WCMS students are invited to participate in our January student recital. Instrumentalists and vocalists of all ages and levels are encouraged to participate, and all types of music are welcome. Auditions for Spring Chamber Music
Save the Date! We're planning to launch a chamber music program this spring that will include in-person teaching, online group workshops, and a final concert to wrap up the semester. More details coming soon! Auditions will be held live on Zoom on Saturday, January 23.

As the weather gets colder and the days get shorter, my family is so grateful to have the musical community and the education provided by WCMS. Having creative, stimulating ways to keep learning indoors is wonderful, and we are enjoying the livestream concerts and recitals as well.
