March 28, 2019
Dear Parents,

Can you believe the end of March is upon us? This weather has been so beautiful!  Our students are working hard each and every day to grow as a learner and with their character. We are looking forward to seeing all of our Dads and Daughters at the dance tomorrow night!  Thank you to our PTA  for putting on such a fun event.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

All My Best,
Wendy Craft

Campout Volunteers Needed!
We are so pumped up for our 2nd Annual Lovejoy Elementary Campus Campout on April 12th!  We are planning a fun filled evening for all! If you are wondering what this is all about, please visit https://latenightleopards.wixsite.com and take a peek at this video from our 2018 campout! https://youtu.be/2aylbHT-EVI Remember, you do not have to spend the night to come out and enjoy this event! If you are new to our school, or a veteran LES Leopard, please consider enjoying a night out with friends!

As many of you already know, our Campus Campout is part of a district-wide fundraising initiative.  Lovejoy ISD is committed to student safety and to keep student programs at our current level. The funds raised from the Campout will directly impact all students at Lovejoy ISD.   Additional funds raised above $30,000 will go right back to serve our kids at Lovejoy Elementary! We are proud of our school and our district, and recognize that each of us play an important role in the vitality of our school & Lovejoy ISD!

We rely on community support and amazing parent volunteers to host all of the fun activities that we have planned for our LES families.  Safety is our number one priority, and we need all hands on deck to ensure proper supervision of our students. We absolutely could not do this without dedicated volunteers! We are hoping to get 100 volunteers to pull the event off from start to finish.  Volunteers are vital for this event to be a success!    We were so incredibly impressed with the volunteers that came out to support our inaugural Campout last year!  Areas that we need help might include set up & clean up, checking in families, assisting families to carry their camping gear to their campout location, face painting, and supervising yard games and bounce houses.  It really is a fun community event!

Please click here for the  sign up genius with many shifts available.
Volunteers can sign up for as many shifts as they would like, and we would be happy to sign off on service hours required for any student volunteers.  We are flexible with time slots and will gladly make adjustments to meet the needs of those helping out. Anyone interested can feel free to contact Erin Woods, LES Campout Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected].
