Farallone View Elementary School Principal, César Gaytán, gets a REAL
magic school bus involved in making reading fun at his school! He says you have to make a big deal of reading because it's critical to success! Isn't he great in his Miss Frizzle glory?

Vampires Don't Wear Polka Dots is still in print after 29 years, but
Millions of Catsby Wanda Gag takes the prize! It is the oldest American picture book still in print and was published in 1928! It won the Newbery Award in 1929 and is still beloved by kids. I loved reading it aloud as a parent, teacher, and librarian. I hope you do too!
In this day and age when we hear way too much about kids committing suicide, this teacher came up with a way to hear her student's pain. She graciously shared her Instagram page to give others a way to learn more about her program. Hopefully we'll never read about another suicide, ever again.
On a much happier note, I can't resist sharing that my daughter found the prettiest lace wedding dress! Let's just say I cried! I was so happy to be able to share the day with her lovely friends and future-mother-in-law!
