AGE FRIENDLY EDMONTON 2.0

The City of Edmonton and the Edmonton Seniors Coordinating Council invite you to the launch of Age Friendly Edmonton 2.0.

We want to thank you for supporting our vision of building an age-friendly city for all. We'll be taking a look back at everything we've accomplished and share our exciting new plans for the future. Join us for storytelling and refreshments as we reflect on the past five years and usher in a new era with Age Friendly Edmonton 2.0.
 
This is a free, public event. All are welcome. Pre-registration is appreciated.

BIG SUMMER BOOK SALE KICK-OFF

ANTIQUE CAR SHOW & BBQ

The ticket purchased in advance includes admission to the car show, barbecue lunch and door prize draw. The barbecue lunch will be a pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw. The car show is being put on by Edmonton Antique Car Show Club and will be accessible through the cafe doors. Ice cream floats will be available in addition on the patio for $2. Come enjoy the sun and some antique cars! Lunch may also be purchased the day of for $8. Car show admission at the door will be $3. Tickets are purchased at the front desk. MWSA GOES TO JURASSIC FOREST

June 26, bus leaves MWSA at 9 a.m. and returns at 2 p.m.
$35 members/$45 non-members

The park has been designed to minimize the impact on the forest and utilize the natural setting to enhance the display of the dinosaurs and to provide an opportunity for you to experience and learn about native plants in the area through a guided tour. Bring a water bottle and a bagged lunch (or money for lunch). Cost includes admission and yellow bus transportation. Visit MWSA in person to register. Limited seats. Ellis Bird Farm is both a non-profit company and a working farm. In an effort to educate, inspire and encourage both city and rural dwellers to make their backyards more environmentally friendly, the farm yard is becoming established as a demonstration backyard wildlife habitat area. Water gardens, butterfly and hummingbird gardens, bat boxes and bird nest boxes now complement the orchards and natural areas. Walking trails link points of interest around the farm, and a delightful Tea House is open to serve visitors during the summer. (source: www.ellisbirdfarm.ca)

By request, CLSA is offering summer ballroom lessons for those who want to continue practicing and brush-up on their dance skills. This session is great for Beginner 2 to Intermediate/Advanced. Instruction at your level by a world-ranked ballroom dancer.
