Sharing Your Social Justice Projects
Deadline: June 23rd
As previously announced, this Triennial Meeting's Share Fair will be devoted to assembling "Summer Survival Kits" for the homeless citizens of Austin served by the Shower Ministry. Our goal is to create 500 of these kits on July 6th. Many hands make quick work. Read all about it here.
But we're not stopping there. Please watch this short video from Beblon Parks, the ECW's Member at Large for Social Justice (keep in mind that the deadline she mentions has changed):
Here's more from Beblon: We are anticipating receipt of printed information about your social justice program and/or activity video clip. Bring your printed information to me in our meeting room in Austin. Please email your 30- to 60-seconds long video clip to me at [email protected] no later than Sunday, June 23, 2018.
Don't worry about making this an Oscar worthy production. For instance, after you've decided what you want to say, a brief video made on your smartphone, perhaps with the help of a friend, should only take a few minutes. Here's a helpful hint from a digital media specialist: When recording, turn your phone sideways (horizontally) and do a test to make sure the sound is working.
Whether using a computer or smartphone to make and send the clip, the subject line should read "Triennial Share Fair Video." In the message field, make sure to list your church and the diocese or province from which the program is in operation. For example: Triennial Share Fair Video, then St. Philip's Episcopal Church ECW, Richmond, VA.
These clips will be compiled and aired during Triennial Meeting. Anything received after June 23rd deadline will not be included in the continuous loop that will be shown. However, you may bring the clip with you on a jump drive. It will be shown as time and activities permit. If you have questions, please email them to me at [email protected].

Be it Resolved
Deadline: July 5th, 4:30 p.m.
Episcopal Church Women is a programmatic rather than a legislative body; therefore, the resolutions other than privilege and courtesy tend to be few. If you're considering submission of a resolution, information about how to do it can be found by clicking here.

How Do You Communicate?
Deadline: July 7th, 9:30 a.m.
Ginger Lief, the ECW Board's Second Vice President - Information & Communication (pictured here), is offering another way to get some information and inspiration while at Triennial Meeting.
A communications tools and techniques display will take place in the ECW plenary room on Saturday, July 7th from 10 - 12 a.m.
Instead of giving communications awards this Triennial Meeting, the emphasis will be on sharing best communications practices. Thus, ECW/women's ministry groups within parishes, dioceses, and provinces, as well as groups affiliated with ECW, are invited to share
one best example of their communications over this triennium, whether it be a newsletter, brochure, website, or social media account.
Bring your publication or a one-page flyer noting the address of your website or social media sites to the ECW plenary room by
9:30 a.m on
July 7th, and give it to Ginger who'll make sure it's part of the display.
If you have a few additional copies of your communications example that you'd like to offer as handouts, please also bring them with you to the display area.
