Our loving Sympathy is offered to Robin Rodgers who dad, John Brandt, died last Thursday, June 7, after a long battle with cancer. Many of us remember John as a real friend and supporter of Epiphany through the years. We offer our love and support to Robin and her family during this time of loss. May God's blessings and peace be with all.

What a life-changer each of you and for our guests!!!
Epiphany To Provide Monthly Meals To The Haven
Men's Shelter During the Summer...
The Haven is a community facility for men that provides nightly meals and shelter for about 16 men. Each summer, Epiphany provides one of the nightly meals during the months of June, July, and August. These meals are prepared and taken to The Haven for the residents to enjoy on their own. Marilyn Magers is the coordinator for the summer Haven meals ministry and she will be able to answer all of your questions and offer suggestions for the meals. A sign up list is on the Information Table in the Gathering Area.
We are called to love God AND our neighbor. Thank you.

Summer
"Sunday School"
Holy Transitions
Transitional Table Talk
Adults...
we will meet weekly for informal Q & A sessions, informational conversations, and a look at the weekly scripture lessons, from a transitional ministry view point, as we continue to work together to build a strong foundation for the pastoral transitional process. Pastor Lingle will lead the weekly discussion as we continue the process of transitioning to new pastoral leadership during the next three months. Everyone is invited to join these important conversations as we look forward to our community's future together.
Children and Youth...
Even though we will be pausing Godly Play and Sunday School for the summer (Rally Day will be September 9 as a NEW year will begin), Sally Lingle will be available each week to welcome the children and youth whose parents and grandparents will be participating in the Transitional Table Talk conversations. No lessons will be planned, but the children and youth will be able to be creative in their own ways through personal activities, the use of our art supplies, or any individual or group activities/games they may want to bring from home. They will be in Godly Play Room #1. Lori Oxendine, our child care provider in the nursery, will be available as always to care for the younger ones (3 and younger).

Hallelujah Hallelujah
Raise the Roof
At the congregational budget meeting earlier this year, it was discussed that Epiphany would be applying to the Charles A. Cannon Foundation for funds to assist in property needs. We are happy to report that the Cannon Foundation has gifted Epiphany Lutheran Church with $15,000. While this gift was given to Epiphany, it must be used for property improvements. The first priority is the exterior painting of the church. Three bids have been secured in preparation of painting OUR church. The most practical bid includes painting the entire exterior, including 2 coats of stain on the front, and painting the door and windows. The painting should begin in July due to contractor availability.
This is an exciting opportunity for US to greatly improve the appearance of OUR church.
If you have any questions, please contact Rick Krenzer-Property Manager, 803-322-2222.
God's Peace.

Mission Council Discernment Time... During our pre-worship preparation time each week during the month of June, we will be taking time for congregational discernment as we seek two members for the Mission Council. Taking time to pray and discern together for two new leaders for our Mission Council is the first process in the "call" process for a "new" Mission Council. Come and be a part of this time of congregational discernment as strong leaders are called to help Epiphany move into the next chapter of mission and ministry.

Hunger Outreach Needs HELP
In order to continue coordinating HOP I realize I need some help in key areas.
Back to School BBQ
This position will require you to collect school supplies and deliver them and specific food items to Flint Hill Baptist Church on the second Tuesday in August.
Christmas Eve Dinner
This position will require you to collect Christmas gifts and deliver them and specific food items to Flint Hill the week before Christmas.
Delivery Route
This position will require you to manage any changes to the monthly route and have drivers ready to go for the month.
Please consider taking on one or more of these jobs. If I can't get the assistance, then I'm afraid I will need to step down.
If interested, please contact me at [email protected] or 803-389-8174.
Thanks!

We are in need of Grocery and Gas Gift Cards for our Food Pantry
In addition to the food items which we distribute from our Food Pantry, we also like to keep a supply of grocery store gift cards to give out when there is a need for individuals to have items which we can not keep "in stock" (milk, bread, meats). Cards valued at $10 or $20 are the best as these allow us to help more families. Also, $10 Gas Cards are very helpful for those who stop at the church for emergency needs. If you are able to provide grocery or gas cards for our food pantry ministry, please place them in the offering plates on Sunday. Thank you for helping in this special way.
