Don't fall victim to scams
Reports of
telephone and in-person scams circulate from time to time. On the phone, individuals demand customers make immediate payment with a prepaid credit card to prevent service disconnection.
To protect yourself, remember:
- We don't require customers to make payments on a prepaid card.
- We don't request personal information over the phone.
- We don't collect in-person payments in the form of cash, check or money order.
If you are suspicious of a phone call or visitor, hang up or make the person wait outside and call us at 448-4800 to confirm the call or visit. Get
more information about how to protect yourself at csu.org.
