Community Safety Day
This fun-filled day is open to 8 - 12 year olds. We will p rovide education and resources to make farm, and rural life safer and healthier for children and their communities. Space is limited to the first 50 to register. Planned activities include demonstrations and discussions on numerous safety-related topics. Participants will be divided into small groups to rotate through the safety sessions. Lunch and a t-shirt are provided to all participants.

Bee Basics
This class is on the basics of bees.  It includes, story time, crafts and instruction.

4-H Sheep Project
Youth will learn best practices in raising Katahdin sheep as well as work on showmanship skills with the animals, then participate in a lamb show.

Lego Hangout
Come hang out with other Lego enthusiasts and spend the morning building either the dinosaur or robot 3 in 1 Lego Kit.  Then take it home and build the other kit options.

E-Textiles
Electronic textiles, also known as smart garments, or smart fabrics, are  fabrics that enable digital components such as a battery, lights, and electronics to be embedded in them. So not only will you learn about electronic circuits but you will also learn some sewing skills.

4-H Night at McCormick Field
Join other 4-H'ers at McCormick field as the Asheville Tourists take on the Greenville Drive.

Young explorers will gain a deeper understanding of plants, their parts and what they need to grow.

Learn basic sewing skills and make a personalized pillow case. Once you've  learned make more for gifts.

Beginner Kids Cooking
Kids will learn about kitchen rules,  tools, and terminology in this three day class, as they make their own breakfast, lunch and supper.

Young Chefs
Build on skills learned from the beginner class in this three day workshop with more cooking and less instruction.

New Enrollment System
As a way of stream lining the enrollment process the state is using a new online enrollment system.  To participate in 4-H you must be enrolled.  4 HOnline is designed so that each family has an online family profile and every youth and volunteer has an individual profile under their family profile.   Please go on to the new system and sign your child on as a 4-H member.
